Beeswax is a complex substance that contains more than 300 different substances. The main chemical elements that make it are carbon (73.3%), hydrogen (13.2%) and oxygen (7.5%). It is an ester of higher fatty acids with higher monovalent alcohols, saturated hydrocarbons, free fatty acids, aromatic substances, water, dyes, minerals, etc. The composition may vary depending on some genetic features of the bee family or under the influence of the environment.
